Talking Dictionary is an aplication designed for use by visually impaired and / or disabled computer users.

The dictionary has updated with the latest additions to the database numbering over 8500 words. Talking Dictionary is for computers running Microsoft Windows and has been optimized for Windows XP.

Fully updated with 8500 new word definitions. Can now be used from within other Windows programs, such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Notepad, etc. Spell checker rewritten and improved. Can search for words when letters are missing from the input. For partially sighted users the text size can easily be adjusted. Has new voices that can easily be installed.




Features:

Quick Start:
The dictionary can be activated from the start menu or via the desktop shortcut.

Definitions:
The dictionary will automatically speak out the first definition.

Synonyms:
To hear the synonymous words, press the F4 key.

Speak and Spell:
When pressed once, the F1 key is used to speak the word being looked up.

Summary:
The F2 key can be used to find out how many definitions and synonymous words were found.

Verbose Mode:
During normal usage the dictionary provides wordy assistance. This is known as verbose mode.

Help Mode:
The dictionary can explain the meaning of each key (as it is pressed) by pressing
Control and F6.

Control Echo:
When Control Echo is activated the dictionary will speak each key as it is pressed.
